Berks Gymnastic Academy
The Berks Gymnastic Academy was founded in 1975 by Sandi and Tom McCarthy with the sole purpose of offering first class instruction for the needs of the beginning level child through to the advanced caliber and world-class gymnast.
The academy is located at 325 Morgantown Road in Reading, PA. This is the academy’s second location after having moved in 1990 from its original home on Penn Avenue in West Lawn, PA. In the year 2000, with Tom McCarthy’s retirement, Coach Rich Fiorentino became the Academy’s owner and head coach.
The Berks Gymnastic Team is the non-profit division of the Academy. The team is run by the Parents Club, Berks Gymnastic Team Inc. and is funded entirely by the club’s fund-raising activities and from private and business donations. The team is made up of gymnasts aged 7-18 who compete in levels 4 -10 including elite.
One of the keys to the team’s success is their focus on the four key values that are necessary for success not only in gymnastics but also in the world beyond; Desire, Discipline, Dedication, and Determination. At Berks they concentrate on the individual gymnast, shaping bodies for today and minds for tomorrow.

We welcome you as an interested parent or as a new or previously enrolled student at our Academy. Our philosophy is, “to teach children gymnastics in a fun, safe and happy environment with professionally trained staff giving you the best possible instruction.”
Increasing a child’s self-confidence while learning in a healthy atmosphere is top priority. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to play a role in the growth and development of your child. We will do all we are able to do to keep you happy while you’re at Berks Gymnastics.

Berks Gymnastic Academy was founded in 1975 with the sole purpose of offering first class instruction for the needs of the beginning child through the world class athlete.
The school has produced endless happy youngsters - from recreational level children to competitors on two World Champion Team, a 1984 Olympian, and a National Champion from 1999 - 2002.
We have one of the finest caliber staffs anywhere in the USA. We invite you to get to know them when you visit.
Berks Gymnastics is located in Reading, Pennsylvania on Route 10.
